15 suspected armed robbers, drugs dealers, and kidnappers were arrested in Ekiti

Fifteen suspected drug dealers, armed robbers, kidnappers, and cultists have been arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command.

The suspects were apprehended during an operation to clamp down on criminal elements terrorising the state.

The criminals arrested in their  hideout at Atikankan, Ado-Ekiti are: Musa Madaki 35 years, Abdullahi Umar 25 years, Shola Adeyemi 43 years,  Hawalu Ali 45 years, Usman Amisu 30 years, Haruna Usman 20 years, Yanusa Abubakar 25 years, Usman Lawali 20 years,  Ajayi Opeyemi 20 years, Toheeb Isa 21 years, Ajiboye Michael 19 years Kayode Yinka 20 years, Taiwo Michael 20 years, Jimoh Zarheal 19 years and David Henry 36 years.

Nigeriacrime.com also gathered that during the preliminary investigation the suspects confessed to being members of armed robbery gangs, illicit drug dealers, and cultists.

Confirming the arrest of the suspects, Ekiti State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Abutu Sunday said the team also recovered some items which include: Two (2) locally made single barrel guns, and two (2) battle axes, two (2) locally made pistols. And some wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

The Command’s PPRO, DSP Abutu Sunday said the suspects shall be arraigned in a competent court accordingly as soon as the investigation is concluded.

It will be recalled that a few days ago operatives of the  Ekiti State Police Command, have apprehended three suspects in connection with cases of kidnapping in the state.

The arrest was effected by the Command’s Rapid Response Squad, in collaboration with a vigilantes group in the state.
