Two rapists, 25 others paraded in Kebbi

A notorious rapist identified as Rugga Aliyu of Mashekari Illela Kwaido under Augie local government is currently cooling off in one of the cells at the Kebbi State Police Command.

Aliyu was arrested after the police received information that he raped a 19-year-old victim.

NigeriaCrime.com gathered that Aliyu allegedly pursued the daughters of one Anas dantalli while they were rearing cattle. Unfortunately, he succeeded in grabbing one of them and forcefully had canal knowledge of her.

Parading the suspect alongside other notorious criminals for various crimes at the State Police Headquarters Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, said on receipt of the incident team of policemen mobilised to the scene and subsequently arrested the suspect.”

He added that the suspect has confessed to the crime and would be charged to court.”

In a related development, another rape suspect simply identified as Samuel residing in Bena who allegedly raped his neighbour was also paraded.
Denying the allegations, Samuel said police officers came to his shop and arrested him after he earlier confessed to the crime.”

The Kebbi State Police Commissioner, CP, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, who said that the feat was achieved through sustained patrol based on credible intelligence reports also disclosed that the command rescued four victims who were kidnapped by bandits.

According to Kontagora, police operatives attached to the command also engaged a large number of armed bandits who barricaded Bena-mai Rairai Road and kidnapped four people, in a gun duel.
The victims were rescued unhurt while two AK47 rifles and a Toyota Corolla was recovered from them.

Nigeriacrime.com also gathered that other suspects paraded include armed robbers, motorcycles thieves and a teenage kidnapper Amirah who was arrested alongside her boyfriend at Yauri, Amirah is an indigene of Zamfara state and claimed that she didn’t know her boyfriend is a kidnapper.

CP Kontagora, however, warned members of the public to desist from taking law into their hands to politicians he said they should avoid statements capable of causing violence during campaigns.
