2 men arrested for stealing motorcycle in Ogun State

Two men are currently being investigated by the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps for allegedly stealing a motorcycle, belonging to one Odugbayi Qudus.

Nigeriacrime.com learned that the duo, 31 years old Babatunde Azeez and 30 years old Avose Taiwo, were arrested by officers of the Corps in Ipokia Area Command for stealing a motorcycle on February 3, 2024

Confirming the arrest, the State Commander of the Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, said that at about 6:30 am, Babatunde Azeez, 31 years old, who resides at Itado-Odanpopo, Onfo road and Avose Taiwo, 30 years old of Iwuku-Iseje both in Ipokia Local Government Area were arrested by the officers of the Corps in Ipokia Area Command for stealing a motorcycle on the said day at about 1:30 am”.

Ganzallo disclosed that during the interrogation of the suspects, they confessed that the stolen motorcycle was bought by Ahotin, a mechanic by profession and resident of Mogbara, Okere-Ilashe in Ipokia at the sum of four hundred thousand naira, while he paid an advance payment of one hundred thousand naira, but all effort to get him arrested proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.

Ganzallo further revealed that the seat of the motorcycle was recovered and the sum of forty thousand naira as evidence.

Ganzallo concluded that the suspects and the exhibits recovered had been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Ipokia Divisional headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
