A suspected kidnapper identified as Akintola Alima is currently being investigated by operatives of the Lagos state police command for invading a school and abducting three minors.
Nigeriacrime.com learned that the 40-year-old suspect, Alima and others currently at large on Monday 11th March 2024, invaded a school premises located in Ijegun area of Alimosho and abducted the three victims.
However, the abducted children identified as Sofiat aged 4, Israel aged 5 and Mustapha aged 6 were rescued after the school headmaster invited the police who promptly swung into action.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman of Lagos state police command SP Benjamin Hundeyin said: “On March 11, 2024, at about 3::30 pm, one Segun the headmaster of a school situated at ijegun Lagos, reported at Area M area command that some unknown persons invaded the school and abducted/ kidnapped three students in the school premises.”
Explaining further, Hundeyin noted that upon this information, detectives swung into action and led a formidable team to the scene of the crime. furthermore, the culprits were given a hot chase, where one Akintola Alima ‘F’ aged 40, who kidnapped the three pre nursery children was arrested and the children were rescued.”
However, the other unknown suspects escaped with an unregistered motorcycle on sighting the police.
“The victims namely one Sofiat ‘f’ aged 4, Israel ‘m’ aged 5 and Mustapha ‘m’ aged 6 have reunited with their family and the suspect is in police custody.
“Meanwhile investigation revealed that she abducted the children for criminal purposes and she had a standby motorcycle, now at large which was waiting for her to escape with the children before she was apprehended. the investigation is ongoing,” he added.
