3 Notorious traffic robbers, who attacked, robbed Lagos DPO arrested

Operatives of the Lagos State Police command is currently investigating three traffic robbers terrorising Otedola Bridge, Alausa and Ikeja area of Lagos.

On the 9th of April,’2024, at about 11 pm three suspects who are members of an armed robbery gang surfaced from their criminal hideout and suddenly attacked the Divisional Police Officer, Alausa Division with cutlasses and other dangerous weapons and they made away with her Samsung s22 phone.

Confirming the arrest the spokesperson Lagos state police Command SP Benjamin Hundeyin said: “After the dastardly act, the hoodlums ran away to an unknown destination.

“Subsequently, on 13th April 2024 at about 10 am intelligence gathering showed that the said hoodlums were sighted hiding at a hotel Akute, Ajuwon area of Ogun state.

Explaining further, Hundeyin said: “Upon receipt of this information, anti crime team of the division moved swiftly to the location and Tochuckwu Nonso aged 29 aka Thug life, the ring leader, was arrested in company of Chidera Christopher aged 25 and they were taken to the station for investigation with the exhibits found on them.”

“Investigation revealed that the suspect forcefully snatched the handset from the DPO CSP Abaniwonda Tokunbo and also macheted her on the back. Further efforts led to the arrest of one Richard Etim aged 25.”

“Investigation revealed that the ring leader has been robbing on Otedola Bridge for the past five years but changing his boys every now and then” he added.
