The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 909 suspects and recovered 22 AK-47 guns as well as 48 locally fabricated riffles in the last ten months.
The suspects were nabbed for different crimes like armed robbery, kidnapping, culpable homicide, rape, and other sexual offences among others.
NigeriaCrime.com gathered that out of 909 suspects apprehended, 845 have since been prosecuted within the period.
While parading, the 27 suspects arrested recently at the police headquarters, the Commissioner of Police, CP S.K Akande, said from February to November 2022 the command has recovered 22 AK-47 rifles, 15 motor vehicles/trucks, 25 tricycles/motorcycles, 14 locally fabricated single barrel guns, 326 live ammunitions.
Others recovered items include 22 empty magazines, seven cartridges, 27 cutlasses /knives/other dangerous weapons, 68 handsets 17 air conditioners, hard drugs, human skulls, N 4, 915 million and several other items.
While commending the government and citizens for their support, CP Akande explained that the effort is a collective responsibility displayed by officers and men of the command from January to date.
