There was tension in Aloko- Oganenigwu in Dekina LGA of Kogi State as gunmen suspected to be Fulani combatants reportedly killed a resident pastor of the Living Faith Church in the area, Jacob Wodi Hulobu.
According to reports, the incident happened on Sunday, April 2, when the gunmen invaded the town.
After the gunmen attacked the church during the early morning service, Jacob was said to have fled the church premises with some of his members to a safe location.
The pastor, who had earlier posted on his Facebook account how he escaped the morning attack, died a few hours later.

Before his death, he posted, “Aloko Oganenigu is fire this morning by Fulani people… But I was able to escape…” (SIC)
Reacting to the news of his death, one of his church members, identified simply as Samuel, told newsmen that the pastor had gone back to check the state of the church after the attack, when he met with his untimely death.
Samuel said the assailants shot at and killed the preacher had scheduled a crusade programme christened, ‘Let the fire fall: Three nights of Wanders,’ billed to take place between April 13th and 15th in the church.
The church member said, “He escaped during church service in the morning. He thought everything was calm and went back to check if the church was touched when he was killed.”
