Apprehension gripped Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State when gunmen suspected to be kidnappers killed a retired officer of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Jacob Agada.
It was gathered that the deceased’s lifeless body was found a few hours after he was kidnapped by the gunmen who mounted roadblocks around Ombi II, Lafia on Thursday night and whisked him away.
The victim was reportedly returning to his house at about 9 pm when the hoodlums abducted him and later dumped his lifeless body in the area on Friday morning.
A family friend of the deceased confirmed the incident, expressing sadness and regret over the loss of their loved one.

The friend revealed that Mr. Agada was kidnapped by the hoodlums who were hiding not far from his gate. The retired officer lived just beside Agaya hotels.
The friend also called for prayers for the departed and an end to the insecurity challenges in the Ombi II, Danka, and Kwandare axis in recent times.
According to the source, the victim was 64 year old when he met with his untimely death.
When our correspondent contacted the Police Public Relations Officers in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, to get the reaction of the command, he simply said, “We are yet to receive any official information on the matter.”
Recall that NIGERIACRIME reported earlier that a former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Professor Onje Gye-Wado, was kidnapped by gunmen who allegedly invaded his community, Gwagi, in the Wamba Local Government Area of the state in the early hours of Friday.
