One of two brothers who mistakenly hacked his mother to death while fighting with his sibling in Abuja has been declared wanted by the FCT Police Command.
Nigeriacrime.com gathered that the FCT Police Command launched a manhunt for Inusa for using a cutlass to kill his mother during a fight with his brother.
Their mother, Zainab Ibrahim was trying to separate her two sons, Inusa and Usman who were fighting with each other when the calamity happened.
Residents at Kpaduma 2 area of Asokoro, who were privy to the development could not disclose the cause of the fight between the brothers but revealed that one of them macheted their mother when she raised her left hand to block the machete striking her other son
Following the deep cut sustained by the woman, she was rushed to a private hospital but gave up the ghost as a result of loss of blood.
It was learned that Inusa was the one who went and brought the machete and was about to use it on his brother when the mother entered their middle and tried to block the machete.
He mistakenly hit her on her left hand and she lost so much blood before the could get to the hospital where she was confirmed dead
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh speaking on the matter disclosed that following the abscondment of Inusa, the Police is looking for him as the investigation is ongoing.
“We received a distress call and rushed to the scene. The mother was taken to the hospital where she was confirmed dead. One of the brothers, Usman is in custody while Inusa is at large”, she said
