Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have reportedly brutalised a yet-to-be-identified over allegations of cultism.
NIGERIACRIME gathered that the dark-skinned woman, spotting a low cut, was severely brutalised by police officers stationed close to the Lagos State House of Assembly, Alausa, Ikeja, on Wednesday at about 2pm.
Some eyewitness said the helpless woman was stripped of her shirt, brutally beaten with sticks, a belt, punched and slapped by three policemen.
“Despite her screams that she was innocent and only came to the area to relax and was not guilty of anything, the policemen dragged her on the floor, removed her footwear, handcuffed and drove away,” an eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of victimisation, said.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “I am not aware of the incident.”
Meanwhile, two men, Vincent Ebuka and John Nwachukwu, were on Wednesday arraigned before a Badagry Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing lubricants worth N14 million.

Ebuka, 24 and Nwachukwu, 25, whose addresses were not given, were charged with stealing and receiving stolen property.
The prosecutor, ASP Ikem Uko, told the court that the defendants committed the offences between November 2021 and May 2023 at Favour Plaza, ASPAMDA Trade Fair Complex, Lagos.
Uko said Ebuka stole different types of lubricants valued at N14 million while working as a sales representative with Great Ade De Young Enterprises, a firm owned by the complainant, Lateef Adeleke.
According to him, Nwachukwu allegedly received the stolen lubricants from Ebuka knowing that they were stolen.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened sections 411, 287 and 328 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each, with two sureties in like sum with one of them employed in a reputable organisation based in Lagos.
The case was subsequently adjourned until July 26.
