A man, Innocent Piccolo Ighoyota Ojokor, has been arrested by personnel of the Delta State Police Command for allegedly causing violence in the state during the 2023 election.
According to information made available by a close source, the suspect was arrested on Saturday, June 10 in Mosogar Community, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
He was subsequently transferred to the Force Headquarters on Sunday, June 11.
An indigene of Mosogar Community, Voltage alleged that the suspect was arrested following lies fabricated against him.
Gbagbanor alleged, “Innocent Piccolo Ighoyota Ojokor was arrested and taken to Abuja over election issues, they fabricated a lot of lies against him on what he has never participated in.”
Efforts to get the reaction of the state police command has failed as the Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, failed to pick his calls or respond to text messages.

Meanwhile, Police Command in Gombe State has finally busted three suspects who specialsed in stealing goats.
They are part of a syndicate that carries out the act in Malam Inna and Wuro Kesa communities of Gombe Local Government Area.
A statement on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, confirmed the arrest.
The spokesperson said the gang uses tricycles to steal goats from different locations and sell the animals to make money.
Their luck expired when police operatives, acting on an intelligence report, swooped on them in their various hideouts.
The suspects are Abdulaziz Abubakar, 20, Abdullahi Shuaibu, aka Dealer, 25, and Hassan Adamu, 18.
“The case will soon be charged to court for prosecution. Exhibits recovered include one tricycle and one goat,” Abubakar noted.
The PPRO also announced the arrest of 12 other suspects for criminal conspiracy, theft and armed robbery.
One stabiliser, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, six mobile phones, wrappers, sharp cutlasses, one MP3 player and two knives were recovered.
