Three Men Allegedly Gang-Raped Minor In Adamawa

Three men; Uzairu Dan-Fulani, 25; Hassan Nasir, 25; and Yahaya Edward, 26, have been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly gang-raping a 15-year-old girl.

According to information available to NIGERIACRIME, the incident happened in Mayo Belwa Local Government Area of the state.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, in a statement on Tuesday said, ”The suspects abducted the girl on July 20 when she boarded a tricycle from Mayo Belwa to Ngurore.

”The Commissioner of Police (CP) in Adamawa, Afolabi Babatola, has ordered a thorough investigation into the crime with a view to prosecute the perpetrators,” he said.

Nguroje called on the general public to be vigilant, report any suspicious activity to the police and key into the command’s effort towards fighting all forms of Gender-Based Violence.

Meanwhile, the Bauchi State Police Command says it has killed two suspected kidnappers and rescued 10 victims during an operation carried out in Ningi Local Government Area.

Commissioner of Police Auwal Musa Muhammad disclosed this at a press briefing held at the police headquarters along Yandoka Road on Tuesday.

Recall that there have been incessant kidnappings in Ningi LGA, targeted at peasant farmers who are now afraid of going to their farms.

The CP said the rescue operations were carried out in collaboration with hunters.

“In one of the successful operations carried out between July 17 and 20, the operatives rescued 10 victims of kidnapping unhurt and reunited them with their families.

“Similarly, the operatives attacked the hoodlums and neutralised two of the armed kidnappers and arrested one other, while the remaining terrorists were subdued during a gun duel with our team,” he stated.

The police boss noted that the suspected kidnappers had terrorised the state and its environs before they met their Waterloo.
