Two suspected criminals have been declared wanted by the Kano State Police Command and a bounty of N500,000 was placed on them each.
This was made known by the state Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Sani Gumel, while parading one of the criminals terrorizing people within the Kano Metropolis, Ahmad, popularly known as Big Star.
According to the police boss, the suspect had earlier attacked one Abdulrahman Isah with a pair of scissors and inflicted life-threatening injuries on him.
Since the incident, the criminal had been on the police wanted list, the CP disclosed.
The victim was rushed to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital where he was treated and discharged.
While appreciating the people of the state for their support and cooperation, CP Gumel said the discreet investigation is ongoing and that will be charged in court.
He reiterates his promise of placing a N500,000:00 bounty on each of the topmost declared thugs for anyone who offers credible information that could lead to their arrest, especially Abba Burakita of Dorayi Karama Quarters and Hantar Daba of Kwanar Disu Quarters all residents of Kano.

He further urged them to keep reporting any suspicious movement of person(s) or item(s) they come across to the nearest Police Station or through the following Kano State Police Command emergency contact numbers: 08032419754, 08123821575, 09029292926.
Meanwhile, a combined team of security operatives, comprising the Anti-Cult Unit, SIB Unit, and the local vigilante groups, led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Oghara Division in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, CSP Olasunkanmi Musiliu, have rescued two kidnap victims unhurt in Oghara-Ugbenu link road in Ethiope-West Local Government Area of the State.
The incident occurred on the 31st of August 2023, at about 11:30 am.
The police also recovered four live cartridges, one Tecno Spark phone, one ATM card, and three SIM cards of different telecommunication networks from the scene.
The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Wale Abass, confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
The police image maker said the kidnap victims have reunited with members of their families.
According to him, the kidnap suspects abandoned the victims who were allegedly abducted at the Oghara-Ugbenu link road and escaped.
DSP Edafe said, “Regardless of the victim’s rescue, efforts are on top gear to ensure the arrest of the fleeing suspected kidnappers.”
