Two notorious armed robbery suspects have been killed by operatives attached to Area B Apapa, Lagos State Police Command.

The duo identified as Sodiq, aka Foreigner, recently released from prison, and Habeeb aka Kiki, were neutralised in a gun duel while attempting to escape and evade arrest.

It was learned that the robbers who have been on the waiting list of the police, for terrorising Ajegunle and its environs were trailed to their hideout in Ajegunle, where they met their Waterloo.

Confirming the demise of the armed robbers, the spokesperson Lagos State Police Command SP Benjamin Hundeyin said Daredevil robbers engaged operatives of Area B Apapa of the Lagos State Police Command in a gun duel in a bid to escape arrest. The robbers, however, fell to the superior firepower of the police operatives.

One Beretta pistol, one locally made revolver pistol with four rounds of 9mm live ammunition, and one expended shell of ammunition was recovered from the robbers.”

Meanwhile, the Command urged youths, in particular, to desist from crimes, as the long arm of the law will always catch up with criminals no matter how long it takes.

Recall that last week five suspected armed robbers reportedly died after a serious gun duel with Police Officers from “B” Division in Warri, Delta State.

The suspects who sustained serious gunshot injuries died before getting to the hospital.

The Police also recovered from the suspects, two (2) locally made cut-to-size single barrel guns, three (03) rounds of expended cartridges, three rounds of live cartridges, and one dagger.
