The Adamawa state police command says no fewer than 38 suspects have been apprehended for committing various crimes across the state.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Sikiru Kayode Akande while parading the suspects before journalists at the police headquarters on Tuesday.
Akande said the arrest was the result of the heightened effort by the police to check criminal activities.

According to him, the suspects were apprehended in connection with kidnapping activities, arm robbery, kidnapping activities, rape, and culpable homicide among others.
The Commissioner added that the suspects were apprehended in Fufore, Yola North and Girei Local Government Areas, Adamawa state.
Some items recovered from the suspects include; AK 47 Riffle, 1 Magazine, 7 Live Ammunitions, 1 locally fabricated Pistol, and 1 burnt Tricycle (Keke Nappe).
Others are; 3 sets of laptops, 1 Woofer set, 1 DVD Set, 1 Stabilizer, 8 GSM handsets, YEDC prepaid metre remote, Indian Hemp, hard drugs, 2 knives, Multiples Sets of SIM & M cards and a set of cotton/Bedsheet.
Akande said the suspects were nabbed following the renewed commitment of the Command to fighting crime.
Also, the Commissioner announced that 11 newly promoted senior police officers served in the state command.
He further appreciated the government, and the people of the State for their continued support to the Command, and assured that all the suspects will be diligently prosecuted upon completion of the investigation.
