A 5-year-old boy identified as Jerome Chukwuemeka, has been gruesomely murdered in the Ago-Okota area of Lagos State.
The deceased’s lifeless body was found by his father after returning from work.
The Lagos State Police Command has commenced an investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the victim’s murder.
According to the deceased’s father, he found his son’s lifeless body in his room.
During a close observation, the deceased’s father was said to have discovered that Chukwuemeka’s hands were tied, and his throat slit.
The situation threw his family into mourning as neighbours gathered in front of the deceased father’s residence to lament the incident.
As of the time of filing this report, no arrest has been made.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, when contacted, confirmed the development, adding that the investigation was ongoing.
