Tompolo’s Security Operatives Uncover Fresh Illegal Pipeline

Tompolo, whose real name is Government Ekpemupolo has continued to expose people involved in oil theft in Nigeria as his oil pipeline surveillance team, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited discovered another huge illegal pipeline in Delta State.

This is coming days after the surveillance team uncovered an illegal 4-kilometre pipeline connected from the Trans Escravos line into the sea.

In the latest discovery, the pipeline was attached to the 48-inch Trans Forcados Export Trunkline in Burutu Local Government Area.

According to recent discoveries, the newly-discovered illegal crude oil pipeline was connected directly to the high sea in Delta State.

It was alleged that oil companies, oil bunkers, and security officials steal crude using the illicit pipeline connected to the trunk line through an abandoned pipeline by the Nigerians Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOCL), and linked to a location in the high sea, where they load crude oil into vessels and sell overseas.

The latest discovery is directly behind a military security post, which is less than one kilometre from the Forcados Export Terminal in the Ogulagha community.

It was disclosed that the Forcados Trunkline has a capacity to export about 400,000 barrels per day.

Also, the terminal receives crude oil from the Forcados Oil Pipeline System, which is the second largest pipeline network in the oil-producing region, after the Bonny Oil Pipeline System in the Eastern Niger Delta

Officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, led by the General Manager, Joint Venture Operations of National Petroleum Investment Management Services, Zakariya Buduwara, visited the site of the newly uncovered illegal crude oil pipelines.

All attempts to reach the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, Chief Keston Pondi, for his comments on the recent finding has proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
