Recall that the Delta State Police Command recently arrested some fake Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operatives in the state over alleged break-ins, kidnappings and extortion of unsuspecting victims.
It was gathered that the arrest followed a series of complaints received from members of the public, especially from the youths, alleging that the EFCC operatives usually break into their houses at night, forcefully arrest them, take them away and extort huge sums of money from them.
Similarly, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command recently arrested a serial fraudster, who specialised in impersonating legal practitioners and senior law enforcement officers to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
The Police said the suspect was arrested on Sunday, November 20, 2022 by the FCT Command’s intelligence asset attached to the Anti-Violence Crime section of the State Criminal Investigations department (SCID) at Our Lady Queen of Cathedral Church Area 3, Abuja, where scores of unsuspecting worshippers have reportedly been defrauded.
