The Lagos State Police Command has said it will carryout an autopsy on the remains of the Fidelity Bank worker, Emmanuel Ebere, who slumped at the finance house’s branch in the Ikoyi area of the state.
While confirming the banker’s demise, the Command, through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that Ebere slumped and died on the bank premises on Wednesday.
Ebere, who was attached to the Information and Communication Technology unit of the bank was said to have slumped while on duty.
According to reports, the banker was immediately taken to the Military Hospital in Ikoyi but was confirmed dead by doctors.

The Police spokesperson also added that the remains of the deceased have been deposited at Marina General Hospital morgue, saying that a post-mortem will be carried out on the body.
“Based on the report, a team of detectives from the Ikoyi Division visited the hospital and examined the corpse. No mark of violence was seen on the body. Corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the Marina General Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
Similarly, two men working on an elevator in a building on Alexander Road, Ikoyi, have been reportedly electrocuted.
Hundeyin also confirmed the incident, identifying the workers as Samson Gbemileke, 32, and Henry Dozie, 37.
The duo were taken to Ever Care hospital in Lekki where Henry Dozie was confirmed dead, while the second victim survived.
“The corpse has been deposited in the Island General hospital morgue, Marina for autopsy. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing,” he added.
