A civil servant, identified as Moses Saka, has been arraigned by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command over accusations that he used ‘juju’ on his daughter.
The government worker, who is 36-year-old, was dragged before an Upper Area Court Gwagwalada in Abuja alongside an accomplice, identified only as Joseph (at large), with criminal conspiracy and unlawful juju.
The matter was reported to the police by one Labaran Dikko of Gosa village in Abuja, prosecution counsel, Abdullahi Tanko, disclosed.
Tanko also told the court that the matter, which was reported on December 16, 2022, involved conspiracy to perform juju on the four-year-old girl by the defendant.
The defendant has reportedly confessed to the crime, while also disclosing that the native doctor performed the ritual in his house (defendant’s house).

The offence contravened the provisions of sections 97 and 216 of the Penal Code.
Saka pleaded not guilty after the charge was read.
The Judge, Abdulkarim Abdullahi, admitted him to bail in the sum of N500,000 with one surety who must reside within the FCT.
Abdullahi adjourned the case until March 16 for hearing.
Meanwhile, a United States-based Nigerian professor, Marinus Iwuchukwu, and a woman identified as Charce Dunn have been found dead in Pittsburg Pennsylvania.
They were found dead along Thorncrest Drive, Wilkins Township, Pittsburg on Tuesday after an alleged “domestic disturbance” around 10 am.
The Allegheny County Police said they received a call to check on the well-being of a couple inside their home.
According to the police, a third party was unable to reach the male resident and learned that the man had been stabbed. A woman remained inside the residence with a firearm.
It was learnt that the SWAT team made entry into the home and found a 59-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman dead.
Both appeared to have sustained lacerations, and the woman sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
The police said the incident is being investigated as a suspected murder-suicide.
