Man Kills Sister’s Husband For Cheating

There was tension in Umunede, in the Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State as a man, identified as Iduh Hausa, allegedly killed his brother-in-law for cheating on his sister.

NIGERIACRIME gathered that the suspect shot the deceased to death.

The incident has reportedly thrown Ileje in Umunede into mourning.

According to a source, tension was brewing in the community over the incident.

The source said, “Mr Iduh Hausa shot his brother-in-law to death just because he (suspect) claimed that the man was dating another lady.

“He said the brother-in-law was cheating on his sister.”

The development was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, who added that the suspect was at large.

He said, “Yes, it is confirmed; we have not arrested the suspect; he’s still at large. Effort is ongoing to arrest him wherever he is hiding.”

Meanwhile, a twin two-bedroom building and a self-contained apartment were razed by fire in Ilorin on Wednesday, destroying property worth millions of naira.

The fire disaster was reportedly caused by a power surge, according to the spokesman of the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle in Ilorin on Wednesday.

He said the fire burnt a building comprising twin two-bedroom flats and a self-contained.

The incident occurred around 11:50hrs on Wednesday, at No 25, Itunu Street Sapati-Ile Area, in Ilorin, the State capital.

According to the spokesman, firefighters were able to extinguish the fire on time.

The Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, urged the general public to imbibe safety culture first in all their daily activities.
