Abuja Musician, three others murdered by unknown gunmen

Abuja Musician murdered: Anpe Pankyes, better known by his stage name CHOP BOII and three of his friends have been reportedly murdered by gunmen in Gwarinpa area of Abuja.

It was gathered that the late Chop Boii, a fusion recording/performing artist who hails from Jos was producing new music, a new jam with his music producer, a friend of his, and the producer’s girlfriend, at the residence of the producer in Gwarimpa, Abuja on Tuesday afternoon when the gunmen struck.

NigeriaCrime.com also learned that Anpe Pankyes aka Chop Boi, the deceased and his friends were not the main target but collateral damage. The assailants also chopped off the hands of the victims, before using their blood to write on the wall.

According to a close ally of Anpe Pankyes aka Chop Boi, “the unknown gunmen’s targets were the producer and his girlfriend, but unfortunately for them, Chop Boi and his friend were also there, and they butchered them all, even writing on the wall with their blood after cutting their fingers off.

Meanwhile, the Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād has claimed responsibility for the killing of two businessmen in Kano State. ISWAP in a statement said the attack was carried out by “soldiers of the caliphate.

The deceased is Ifeanyi Elechukwu, aged 41, who was the target of the attack and his friend, Chibuille Emmanuel, 33, who was shot in the leg, but eventually died at a private clinic in the state capital.

Elechukwu, a battery dealer, was said to have been lured to his shop by one of the gunmen, who pretended to be a customer. He was shot at close range and killed while his friend was chased and also shot.

Elechukwu’s trouble started after he sold battery items to Boko Haram, which they used for a bomb blast operation in Kano without his knowledge. The car batteries were used by terrorists to make bombs used at the last bomb blast in Kano which the Kano state government claimed was a gas explosion.

After the explosion, Ifeanyi was picked up by the DSS, upon interrogation on Abuja Musician murdered, he told the DSS what he knew about the bomb blast and the items that Boko Haram members bought from him.

The revelation from him to the DSS and Nigerian army was damaging as it led to the arrest of the Boko Haram members that did that bomb blast.

In retaliation, Boko haram members came for him on Saturday to kill him for divulging the information to the DSS and the Nigerian army, which led to the arrest of their members.
