The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Federal Capital Territory chapter, Hon. Sunday Zaka, is dead.
Zaka, popularly known as HIV, died in the early hours of Saturday, on election day.
He lost his life in a ghastly crash around 3.00am while heading to Kuje, his hometown, ostensibly in preparation to exercise his right to vote.
Hon Zaka’s Personal Assistant also died in the mishap.
A tribute to the departed PDP chieftain by a colleague of his, Michael Kpatuba, posted on Facebook reads, “You left earlier today around 3am to your home town Kuje as the time draws closer to voting, we received a sudden and shocking news about your accident. 😭😭😭
“Yea, you died alongside your Personal Security.
This is so shocking and still finding it difficult to say goodbye Sir. Remembering the jokes we cracked before you left 😭😭😭Dying Election day is really heartbroken to the FCT, PDP Family. Rest in peace, Hon Zaka Sunday, FCT PDP Chairman.😭😭😭”
