A Lagos State commercial bus reportedly hit a 36-year-old woman and drove off, leaving her unconscious to die at the scene.
The pedestrian, who has been identified as Tope Razak was knocked down at about 11:30 am on Sunday 3rd July along Herbert Macaulay Way by Saint Agnes Bus Stop Sabo, Yaba.
According to an eyewitness Jumoke Adelaide, who spoke to Nigeriacrime.com, “the victim died on the spot before she could get medical help.”
Nigeriacrime.com gathered that before the accident, Tope Razak lived at 22 Owodunni Street Iwaya in the Yaba area of Lagos.
Nigeriacrime.com learned that the commercial bus driver and registration number are yet unknown.

Confirming the incident, the Spokesperson Lagos State Police Command SP Benjamin Hundeyin said a hit-and-run commercial bus driver kicked down a female pedestrian.
Hundeyin noted that immediately after the police received the report, a team of traffic personnel visited and photographed the scene. deposited her corpse at the morgue Yaba for autopsy.”
“Meanwhile, the investigation is in progress as an effort is being made to track down the fleeing driver and recover the vehicle,” he added.
