Delta Man Posts Girl’s Nude On Social Media For Jilting Him

A man, Mr. Daddy K. Odiete, has been apprehended for allegedly sharing a girl’s nude photograph on social media in retaliation for ending their relationship.

The suspect was nabbed by the Ughelli Area Command of the Nigeria Police in Delta State, in collaboration with the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) led by Comrade (Elder) A.P. Edariese.

It was gathered that the suspect had managed to evade arrest for approximately two months following the incident until he was eventually apprehended through the combined efforts of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Delta State chapter.

He is currently in custody at the “A” Division in Ughelli.

The victim (name withheld), had reported the incident to the Nigeria Police Force, Area Command, Ughelli, in August, and the CDHR, swung into action, leading to the apprehension of the elusive perpetrator.

In a statement signed and sent to newsmen, the CDHR Delta State Chairman, Comrade A.P. Edariese, said, “This incident is one of too many of its kind in our present-day society and should serve as a deterrent to others with similar intentions.”

The septuagenarian praised the Area Commander of the Delta Central Area Command, Ughelli, for his efforts in apprehending the suspect.

wo passengers, Misturat Okunbanjo and Azeezat Amoo, have been confirmed dead when a boat capsized on Thursday evening in the Isawo community of the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

Four other victims were also rescued in the accident which was reported to have happened at about 8pm.

The Deputy Director of Public Affairs, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Ololade Agboola, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, adding that the capsized boat was on board from Olorunsogo to Isawo.

She said, “The accident was reported at 20:16 hours on Thursday, prompting the deployment of the Search and Rescue Crew from the agency. The crew collaborated with locals who were familiar with the terrain.

“Despite the darkness, the search continued until late at night when it was suspended. Four of the six victims on board the capsized boat crossing from Olorunsogo to Isawo were rescued.

“The crew resumed their efforts in the early hours of Friday to continue the search. Unfortunately, they recovered the bodies of two females, identified as Misturat Okunbanjo, 18, and Azeezat Amoo, 16. The recovery operation concluded at approximately 10:10 hours.”

The Director of the agency, Margaret Adeseye, also expressed regret over the deceased victims.

“We must emphasise the importance of avoiding unsafe acts around waterways and highlight ongoing efforts to educate and sensitise communities on measures to prevent such incidents,” she added.
