There is joy across the country as the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS) on Thursday rescued P. P. Johnson, a female Lieutenant who was abducted by unknown gunmen.
Recall that NIGERIACRIME reported that a viral video showed that the Army officer was abducted by gunmen who claimed to be members of the deadly Unknown Gunmen (UGM), which have been troubling the Southeast part of the country.
The video also showed that Lieutenant Johnson had been moved to a forest bordering Enugu State and Ihube Okigwe Local Government Area in Imo State.
The officer, who hails from Abia, was stripped by the gunmen and they made a video of her on the 26th of December, Boxing Day.
Although the gunmen did not show their faces in the video they made, the voice behind the recording said the location was along Enugu highway which links Port Harcourt, the Rivers capital.

Johnson was kidnapped when she travelled to her hometown for Christmas Day celebration.
The victim passed out on December 17 after completing the Direct Short Service Course.
It was gathered that the Army leadership swung into action after Johnson was reported missing.
It is suspected that the recording, which circulated on the internet, might have assisted security agencies in tracking the abductors.
The news of her freedom has spread jubilations across the Nigerian Social Media space as several people have commended the troops for doing a great job.
