Katsina: Teenager In Police Net For Killing Phone Dealer

A 17-year-old boy, Abdulrahman Ibrahim, has been taken into custody by men of the Katsina State Police Command over allegations that he killed a phone dealer in the state.

Ibrahim was among the 74 suspects paraded on Monday at the headquarters of the Command.

Disclosing this on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, CSP Gambo Isah, told newsmen that the boy had lured the deceased into an uncompleted building at Modoji area of the state.

He revealed that the teenager stabbed the phone dealer on the neck with a knife, killing him eventually.

On his part, Abdulrahman Ibrahim, while answering questions thrown at him by journalists, argued that the phone dealer made an attempt to kill him first but he revolted and ended his life.

According to him, “I killed him when he wanted to kill me and wounded me in the hand.”

Also paraded was a 20-year-old man, Buhari Dahiru, described as a serial rapist.

The police further disclosed that Dahiru of Central quarters, Sabon Garin, Daura, was arrested after he had broken into the house of one Murtala Abdullahi also in Daura, attacked his pregnant wife with a knife and attempted to rape her.

The police added that Dahiru had before his arrest, attacked, robbed and raped two housewives also in Daura.

Dahiru did not deny the allegation during an interview with journalists.

According to CSP Gambo, the areas raided include, Sabuwar Unguwa, Gadar Nayalli, Modoji, Tudun YanLihida, Kwabren Dorawa, Janbango, Abbatuwa, Filin Canada, Lambun Dankwai, Kofar Marusa, Tsalawa, and Chake among others.
