Lagos: Four In Court For Stealing Phone, Assaulting Policeman

Four men have been dragged before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court, in Lagos State, for allegedly stealing telephone handsets and an undisclosed amount of money.

The defendants were alleged to have stolen one Samsung A03 valued at N120,000, the property of one Anosike Henry and an iPhone 11 valued at N250,000, and the property of one Ogadimma Oluwabukola.

They were arraigned before the Magistrate P.E. Nwaka-led court by the Lagos State Police Command on Monday.

The police told the court that the suspects also assaulted a policeman, an action likely to cause a breach of public peace.

The four suspects were charged on eight counts of conspiracy, theft and assault.
