Man, 33 arrested for stealing cable worth over N20m in Ogun

Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed ‘So-Safe Corps’, have arrested 30-year-old Titus Joshua for robbery along Hayat, New Dawn Garden, OPIC, Agbara in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area.

Nigeriacrime.com learned that Joshua was said to have allegedly stolen heavy-duty batteries, worth N190,000 and LT cables worth 20 million Naira with a harksaw for cutting metals.

This was contained in a statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

The statement partly reads that ”at about 3:05 am on 16th January 2024, the officers of the Corps, Agbara Divisional Command on a special duty sighted the one Titus Joshua jumping through the fence with his accomplice into Wasco Cable Company along Hayat road, Agbara.

“The suspect was captured by the team while the other gang members fled”.

“As at the time of the arrest, the exhibit recovered from the scene included heavy-duty batteries, worth N190,000 and LT cables worth 20 million Naira with a hacksaw for cutting metals.

“The apprehended suspect and the exhibit recovered have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Agbara Divisional Headquarter for further investigation and likely prosecution”.
