MohBad: Primeboy Surrenders To Police

The Lagos State Police Command has announced that Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin aka Primeboy, a suspect in the murder case of Afrobeat singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad, has turned himself in.

The announcement was made on Thursday by the Lagos police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on X (formerly Twitter).

He said, “Following his being declared wanted, Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin aka Primeboy has turned himself in. He has, immediately, been taken into custody for interrogation and other necessary actions.

“The Lagos State Police Command once again assures family, friends, fans of Mohbad and the general public that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring a most diligent investigation. The Command equally assures that all persons found culpable in the death of Mr Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad will definitely be brought to justice.”

The police declared him wanted on Wednesday over his refusal to honour an invitation which was sent to him to assist with investigation towards uncovering circumstances that led to MohBad’s death.

The command had said on Wednesday that “Following his failure to honour police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mr Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad, the Lagos State Police Command hereby declares wanted Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy.

“Ibrahim is approximately 1.64-m tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks and Yoruba by tribe. His last known address is 3rd Power, Oke Eletu, Ikorodu. If seen, contact the nearest police station or call 0803 688 5727.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, hereby offers a handsome reward of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira Only) to anyone with useful information leading to his arrest.”

Recall also that singer, Naira Marley and socialite Sam Larry were on Wednesday remanded in police custody by a magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos State, over the death of MohBad.
