One-chance Operator Dies After, Robbing Female Commuter In Lagos

A member of a one-chance syndicate who robbed a female commuter Loveth (surname withheld) alongside his colleagues in Oshodi area of Lagos is dead.

The suspect reportedly died of breath shortage after he and his colleagues robbed a commuter, Loveth who boarded their car, with registration number MUS 423 AF at Bolade, Oshodi.

It was learned that the car had four male occupants when the victim Loveth boarded the car.

According to Loveth, “immediately after I sat inside the car, they robbed me of all my belongings and pushed me out of the car.”

Nigeriacrime.comlearned that trouble started when a team of policemen who were on routine patrol witnessed the incident and t gave the suspect a chase.

The suspects abandoned their vehicles and fled. Two were arrested and the vehicle was recovered.

It was learned that as a result of the chase, one of the suspects complained of a shortage of breath. He was taken to the hospital by policemen where he was treated and later referred to another hospital for lack of bed space. Unfortunately, he died on the way.

Meanwhile, the other suspect Akuku Tony is currently in custody.

Confirming the incident, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said one-chance operators robbed a passenger who boarded their car with registration number MUS 423 AF at Bolade, Oshodi.

The suspects abandoned their car and fled during a hot chase by policemen. Two of them were eventually arrested and their vehicle was recovered. As a result of the chase, one of the suspects complained of a shortage of breath.

He was taken to the hospital where he received treated and was later referred to another hospital for lack of bed space. Unfortunately, he died on the way.

The other arrested suspect, Akuku Tony is assisting the Police in the ongoing investigation.
