No fewer than 16 wedding guests, which includes four children have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Gwombe community in Gwargwada Chiefdom of Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
According to a resident, who identified as Shuaibu Dantani, the victims of the abduction, who were mostly women, were abducted on their way from a wedding in Abaji Area Council on Saturday evening.
Narrating what happened, Dantani explained that the vehicle moving the victims from the location of the celebration to their base was flagged down by the gunmen who later whisked them away, and that, “a man riding a motorcycle on his way to Rubochi who nearly ran into the kidnappers returned to the village and raised alarm.”

Dantani said family members of the victims were yet to establish contact with the kidnappers.
The Agabe of Gwargwada, Alhaji Hussain Agabi Mam, who confirmed the incident through telephone on Sunday, also disclosed that they were yet to establish communication with the kidnappers.
The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, was yet to confirm the incident to our reporter at the time of filing this report but promised to reach back when she gathers more information.
