Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested a man, identified as Josiah Godwin, aged 20 for allegedly killing his 27-year-old boss, Saviour Joseph, in Ondo State.
It was learnt that the apprentice hacked his boss to death and later drop his remains inside a well.
NIGERIACRIME gathered that the unfortunate incident happened at Imafon Community, in Akure South Local Government Area of the state.
It was said that a dispute broke out between the duo, which made the angry boss, who specialised in fixing POP ceilings, to smash the phone of his apprentice on the floor.

Commenting on the issue, the elder brother of the deceased, Odey Julius Ogbaji, stated that the body of the deceased was found four days ago in a well at the site where the deceased and the apprentice went to work.
“Last week, on Tuesday, the deceased called me in the morning, and we spoke; on Wednesday, I tried his number but couldn’t get through, I thought he had a flat battery.
“It wasn’t until Saturday that I was called by another younger brother of mine, briefing me on how efforts to reach the deceased have been abortive.

“Aside from that, he switched off his phone and he didn’t report anything to anybody.”
Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested and transferred to the Police Criminal Investigative Department, CID, at the Police headquarters, Akure, for further investigation.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisayan, said the suspect is now in custody.
