Six notorious armed robbery suspects involved in robbing Mambillah Hotel, in Lagos have been arrested.
The suspects who attacked and robbed the Hotel, located at Owutu, in Ikorodu area of Lagos on May 11, 2022, were traced to their hideout at Oju-irin Abattoir, where they were eventually arrested.
It would be recalled that the armed gang invaded Mambillah Hotel, robbed guests of their valuables and killed the security guard in their bid to escape after the Police arrived at the scene.
The suspects identified as Lekan Adeoye aged 19, Ojo Akeredolu aged 29, Quadri Balogun aged 23, Ahmed Oke aged 24, John Toluwalashe aged 23 and Azeez Akinpelu aged 20 were nabbed following a painstaking, diligent and discreet investigation ordered and closely monitored by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi.
NigeriaCrime gathered that the seventh suspect, Taye was neutralised during a gun duel with police officers.
Items recovered from the suspects are two locally made pistols with 11 live cartridges.

Confirming their arrest, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, said the earlier arrested supervisor and other staff of the hotel have since been released after further investigations cleared them of any culpability.”
He added that the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.
