A landlord, simply identified as Alabo has been arrested by personnel of the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly slicing his female tenant and her husband with a machete.

NIGERIACRIME gathered the incident happened at Ekwulobia Street in Mile 3, Diobu in Port Harcourt on May 15, 2022.

The landlord was said to have gone after the lady, Comfort Nwagadi, who reportedly turned down his love advances, and inflicted several machete cuts on her.

Also, while the husband of the woman was trying to rescue his wife from Alabo, the landlord allegedly attacked and macheted him, inflicting cuts on him as well.

Realising what his action and repercussion, the landlord fled immediately but he was however arrested on Sunday by the police who had been trailing him for months.

The woman, Mrs Nwagadi, confirmed the arrest of the suspect (her fleeing landlord) in a voice note sent to our correspondent on Monday.

She recalled that the suspect, Alabo, had ambushed her immediately after she entered the compound that fateful day.

She said her landlord attacked her with a machete the moment she entered the compound cutting her on her head and fingers.
