Six notorious cult members arrested in Ogun State

Six notorious cult members have been arrested by the Ogun State owned Security Outfit known as Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps – So-Safe Corps for terrorising Rounder axis of Abeokuta and its environs.

Nigeriacrime.com learned that the arrested cultists are, Emmanuel Victor, Olumide Abdullah aka ‘Maintain, Isiaka Jimoh, Oluwaseun Gabriel, Ojeka Samuel and Adisa Rasheed.

Speaking on the arrest, the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo said that the officers of the Corps on guard duty, who are attached to Obasanjo Hilltop, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta had arrested a middle-aged cultist, Emmanuel Victor, 32 years of age, a resident of Feyintolorun Community, Rounder, Abeokuta North Local Government Area during top-and-search at the access gate. Four live ammunition were found on him.

Ganzallo further explained that in the course of the Corps Preliminary investigation, the culprit confessed that the ammunition found on him on his way from one of the buildings where he worked as a dry cleaner.

He further revealed that he works as a gardener at Crescent University, Abeokuta and mentioned five other accomplices who are deadly cultists terrorising Rounder axis.

Some of the names mentioned have been arrested.

Ganzallo further said that the culprit disclose that he belongs to Aye Confraternity Cult group and one of his superiors Mr Olumide Abdullah nicknamed ‘Maintain’, a resident of 5, Adehun, Iyana Cele, Rounder, who had been arrested too, asked him to get the ammunitions while he said his group, which could have secured a rifle if not for the cashless policy which resulted in spending the N20,000 generated has its base at Adogbon Shop, Rounder in Abeokuta.

Ganzallo also noted that the Corps had put in effort to arrest a few more members of the deadly cult group while others are at large.

The members arrested are Mr Isiaka Jimoh, a 33-year-old, a resident of Feyintolorun Community, Rounder; Oluwaseun Gabriel, a resident of 22, Opara Iyana Cele, Rounder; Ojeka Samuel, 19 years old and Adisa Rasheed, 19 years old who both reside at Opara 1, Iyana Cele, Rounder in Abeokuta.

Ganzallo noted that the culprits had been transferred to the Nigeria Police Anti-Cultism Unit, Oke-Ijemo, Abeokuta for onward transfer to the State Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
