Operatives of the Department of State Services are currently investigating a soldier attached to the Muhamadu Buhari cantonment for allegedly hiring out and selling guns to kidnappers.
The soldier, identified as Tungan Maje was arrested around Dankogi Park in Zuba in collaboration with members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria in the area.
NigeriaCrime.com gathered that Tungan hired a gun to the kidnappers for 300,000 in one of the operations and another instance, he was paid the sum of 200,000 naira for one gun.
Tungan met his Waterloo after, the kidnappers were arrested and they mentioned him as their gunrunner.

They contacted him for another deal to supply them with AK 47 rifles to buy at three million naira and he fell for it. They went to the agreed site in Zuba and took position.
Immediately he arrived in his car to present the arm to the buyers, the security men swoop on him.
An AK 47 rifle as well as a fully loaded magazine with 30 rounds of ammunition were found in his car.
Recall that two months ago DSS operatives reportedly arrested a suspected Boko Haram leader in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The suspect initially resisted arrest before he was overpowered.
The suspect reportedly arrived in Abeokuta from Katsina state and took up a security job at Ijaye to gather intelligence for planned terrorist attacks.
The suspect was said to have moved to Abeokuta to set up terrorist cells for kidnapping and terror attacks.
