Two Kids Rescued As Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers in Kano

Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested by operatives of the Kano State Police Command in the Ungogo Local Government Area of the state.

It was also gathered that men of the Command also rescued two children from the den of their abductors.

This was made known by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, in a statement he issued to newsmen.

According to the police image maker, the victims’ parents had reported their abduction at the station.

He said the victims; a 3-year-old boy, Umar Isyaku and 4-year-old, Aliyu Auwalu, were kidnapped at Bachirawa Quarters, Ungogo LGA, of the state.

After the children were kidnapped, the abductors wrote letters containing their mobile phone numbers and later sent bank account details to the parents for the payment of ransom of N20 million.

The police operatives were reported to have immediately swing into action after receiving the report, leading to the rescue of the minors, Kiyawa said.

Furthermore, the spokesman said the police succeeded in rescue of the victims unhurt and subsequent arrest of two suspects, a 22-year Nura Auwal and his accomplice, one Abubakar Lawal, ‘m’, 22-year-old, of Bachirawa Quarters Kano.

He said the suspects confessed to have conspired and kidnapped the two children.

The suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
