Two teenagers killed as vehicle rams into a kiosk in Lagos

Two teenage siblings have been killed in a lone accident involving a Lexus jeep with vehicle number, LSD 356GU on Sunday in Isolo area of Lagos.

Nigeriacrime.com gathered that tragedy stuck when the vehicle lost control and rammed into a building at No 2 Iyewa street off Kogberegbe Isolo area of Lagos, killing two children of the same parents in the process.

According to reports, a 49-year-old woman identified as Elizabeth Awogbemi was behind the wheel when the accident occurred.

The siblings were playing with the child of a neighbour around 7.40 pm Sunday when the sad incident happened.

It was gathered that the two siblings, identified as Abibu Bello, aged 17 and Bolaji Bello aged 14 were sons of one APC chieftain Mr Toyin Bayero.

According to an eyewitness, Tunde Olaitan, the two dead children Abibu Bello, age 17 and Bolaji Bello age 14 were sons of one APC chieftain Mr Toyin Bayero were playing with one other child of a neighbour at no 2 Iyewa street Isolo around 7.40 pm Sunday when the sad incident happened.”

Explaining further, Olaitan said the vehicle veered off the road and rammed into the kiosk at the front of the building. It also destroyed part of the building.
The children were later rushed to Isolo general hospital where two siblings were confirmed dead and one sustained severe injury.”

The driver of the vehicle who was still hiding in a shop for a fear of mob action was rescued and rushed to hospital.

Meanwhile, the Isolo Local Government Chairman, Mr Olasoju Bayo with his entourage visited the scene of the incident on Monday to sympathise with the bereaved family.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said; “The corpses of the deceased have been released at the request of the family for burial according to Islamic rites while the other victim and driver are responding to treatment, meanwhile investigation is ongoing”
