Investigation into the Thursday morning fatal train crash incident in Kubwa, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, has commenced.
According to the FCT Police Command, the investigation commenced immediately medical practitioners confirmed the victim dead.
Recall that one person identified as Hajiya Selimota Idowu, died in a fatal train crash incident in Kubwa on Thursday.
It was learnt that an Abuja-bound train had crashed into a moving car at Chikakore, in the Kubwa area of Abuja, leading to a breakdown of the train.
The General Manager, Nigeria Television Authority Channel Five Abuja, Paul Atti, confirmed that Idowu worked with the firm before her death.

He said, “Initially when we got the news, we just thought that it was a random person. Then we asked a reporter to go there; even the reporter didn’t know she was our staff member because they couldn’t provide her picture at that moment. It was later that we got a call from the family; that was how we knew.
“She was a principal accountant, level 12 . She was a very gentle person.”
Contacted, the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the incident, noted that Investigation had commenced by the railway division having jurisdiction over the track.
Adeh said, “We are aware of the unfortunate incident of rail/motor fatal accident that happened at the Chikakore axis in the Kubwa area council of the FCT.
“Upon receipt of the information, police crime scene investigators attached to the Byazin Divisional Police Headquarters drifted swiftly to the scene, took charge of the situation, where the victim was confirmed dead by medical practitioners on the ground.
“Investigation has commenced by the railway division having jurisdiction over the track. Findings and safety tips already existing will soon be reiterated to ensure a non-repeat of such incidents.”
