A 5-month-old baby girl and 11 other victims have been rescued unhurt from a terrorist camp in Zamfara.
The hostages were rescued by Police Tactical Operatives attached to 42 PMF Squadron Gusau, while on joint operations with the vigilante on 30th August 2022, near Dajin Kare kukanka forest.
The victims who were rescued unhurt were abducted by armed bandits and taken to Kare Kukanka forest, a bandit camp of a notorious bandit leader popularly known as “Bello Maibille.
Nigeriacrime.com learned that the victims spent one month in captivity before their rescue by the police.
immediately after their rescue, the victims were medically checked at 42 PMF Clinic Gusau, and thereafter, debriefed by the Police before they were handed over to their families.

Police Public Relations officer, said the Police Tactical Operatives attached to 42 PMF Squadron Gusau, acted on an intelligence report that led to the unconditional rescue of twelve hostages including a 5-month-old baby girl from Rungawa village in Talata Mafara LGA.
Reassuring the command’s commitment to arresting the perpetrators of this heinous crime, Zamfara State Command Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf said the rescue mission is in line with the mandate given by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba to restore lasting peace and security in Zamfara state.
The CP further commends the joint Police/vigilante operatives for the well-done job and enjoins all and sundry to be security conscious and report suspicious characters to the Police or any security Agency for prompt action.
