Suspected political hoodlums have reportedly abducted the House of Assembly Candidate for Ahaoda East Constituency 2, for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Napoleon Ukalikpe.
Reports available to NIGERIACRIME says the politician was kidnapped in Obelle community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
Ukalikpe was whisked away by the armed hoodlums on Saturday morning, while the aspiring lawmaker was on his way to his polling unit.
It was gathered that there was sporadic shooting, to disperse people.
Confirming the incident, a source within Ukalikpe’s family, Chima, said the family and his supporters have been thrown into confusion as the whereabout of the politician remains unknown.

He said, “It was around 8am in the morning that he was kidnapped. So, we are trying to make contact to see how he will be released but to no avail.”
Similarly, the Campaign Director of the APC in Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr Chisom Lennard, who was abducted by gunmen on Saturday has been killed.
NIGERIACRIME reported that the deceased was reportedly abducted by the unknown gunmen who were dressed in police uniform while he was casting his vote at Ibagwa polling unit 2, Ward 10 in Ahoada West LGA.
Lennard was exercising his franchise during the governorship and state assembly elections when the incident happened.
According to reports, the APC chieftain was making efforts to stop the gunmen from snatching election materials when he was whisked away to an unknown destination.
The state Publicity Secretary of the party, Darlington Nwauju confirmed the incident on Sunday.
Nwauju stated, “He was abducted from his polling unit during the voting process and taken away.
“Nobody knew where they took him to. It was later yesterday evening (Saturday) that his body was discovered. He was the APC LGA caretaker chairman and a PhD student at Rivers State University.”
