Officers Who Brutalised Journalist In Nasarawa To Face Disciplinary Actions – NSCDC

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has vowed that its officers that attacked the Head of News at Breeze FM Lafia, Edwin Philip, during the governorship and state Assembly elections in Nasarawa State will face disciplinary actions.

This message was conveyed by the Nasarawa State Commandant of the NSCDC, Abbas Muhammed, on Sunday, while reacting to the attack by some personnel of the corps, who were on a routine patrol and monitoring the election processes within the Lafia metropolis.

Reacting to the “shocking” incident in a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC Nasarawa State, Jerry Victor, the commandant said the attack was a shameful act by the officers.

Philip urged the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa State Council and the general public, to remain calm as the corps will leave no stone unturned to ensure the erring officers are punished.
