Omobewaji Ewatomi, wife of controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has filed a petition against Disc Jockey, Ademola Abiodun, known as DJ Chicken.
She petitioned the police over allegations of threat to life, character assassination, and other charges by DJ Chicken.
In a recent Instagram post on Portable‘s account dated November 17, Ewatomi accused DJ Chicken of attempting to blackmail her by claiming possession of a compromising video and persistently harassing her while threatening harm to her and her family.
Her post included a statement urging DJ Chicken to present himself at the police headquarters in Zone 2 to address the accusations made against him, highlighting his failure to respond to the police’s communication regarding the matter.
Sharing her petition against the DJ, Ewatomi captioned the post, “DJ chicken, police invite you since all this day you didn’t show up police send you the petition to you on WhatsApp you didn’t respond even you get the mind to block his number so now go and report yourself at police station headquarters zone 2 to proof yourself all what you say about me.”
In a separate development, a 24-year-old suspected cultist have been apprehended by men of the Nigeria Navy, Forward Operating Base, FOB, Igbokoda, Ondo State.
The suspect identified as Tosin Wandele, was accused of carrying out deadly cult related activities in Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.
While parading the 24-year-old suspect at the Naval Base in the state, the Commanding Officer of the Base, Captain Wasuku Alushi, disclosed that Wandele had for a while been on the watch list of security agencies in the state.
Alushi added that the arrest of the suspect was part of the commitment to sustain the fight against cultism and other crimes within the area.
According to the Commanding Officer, the suspect and others currently at large have been harassing and intimidating residents with dangerous weapons.
He maintained that the arrest was made possible “based on credible intelligence, we responded and effected the arrest of the suspect, Tosin Wandele.
“It would also interest you to know that the suspect was confirmed by the Head of the Vigilante in Igbokoda to be a notorious and known cultist who has been terrorising the people of Igbokoda for a long time.
“Accordingly, he (the suspect) has since been handed over to the Department of State Service for further investigation.
“It is pertinent to state that the base has continued to collaborate with other security agencies in Ondo State in stemming the tide of cultism within its area of operation.”
