Following an allegation of defamation, popular actor and media personality, Adeyemi Idowu, aka Yhemolee, has slammed a N200 million suit against singer, Lil Frosh.
In a recent outburst, Lil Frosh claimed he was slapped by the actor for not greeting him.
Reacting to the allegation, the actor sued the singer for defamation.
Sharing a copy of the lawsuit, the actor caption it, “The past few days has been a whole lot as I have been falsely accused continuously by @lhilfroshgram which has led me to get multiple death threats from random people, my timeline has been a mess for over 72hrs for something I’m clearly innocent of.
“This is a pre-action notice to @lhilfroshgram
“Attached letter from my lawyer is for your attention.”
In the suit, Yhemolee demanded a public apology, a retraction, and a payment of N200 million in damages.
The suit added, “Take notice that you are to fully comply with the above demands within Fourteen (14) days from the date of your receipt of this letter, or from the day you are given constructive notice of same.
“And take further notice that we have the definite instructions of our Client to commence legal proceedings against you if you fail, neglect or refuse to comply fully with the demands articulated above.”
In a separate development, an Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, sentenced a 45- year-old native doctor, Micheal Oyewole, to 12 months imprisonment for killing his neighbour’s cow.
The convict, who resides at the Araromi Alakaloko Olomore area in Abeokuta, pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge of conspiracy, theft and wilfully and unlawfully killing of a cow.
However, Magistrate O.O. Odumosu held that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt that the convict was guilty of the offence.
She sentenced Oyewole, to 12 calendar months imprisonment with an option of a fine of N10,000 for stealing and six months for willingly and unlawfully killing the cow.
The magistrate ordered that the convict can only exercise the option of payment of fine, only if he pays N400,000 to the complainant, being the cost of the cow he killed.
She added that the sentence should run concurrently.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, ASP Olakunle Shonibare, told the court that the convict committed the offence on June 3, at about 11:00pm at Alakoloko Unique Estate Olomore area in Abeokuta.
Shonibare said the convict conspired with others at large and stole a cow valued at N400,000 property of one Mr Hakeem Ominrinde.
