Some armed gunmen have abducted the wife of the Commandant General’s Special intelligence Squad, Deputy Commandant Apollos Dandaura.
The gunmen who wielded AK-47 rifles, invaded the victim’s residence and started shooting sporadically to scare residents before they took her away on Wednesday night.
The younger brother of the Commandant was also shot in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, during the operation.
The Commandant’s brother, who is also a personnel of the NSCDC is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lafia and is reportedly responding to treatment.

According to the source, the commander’s wife was abducted by the bandits around the Shenge area of Lafia, the State capital.
Confirming the incident to our correspondent on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command of NSCDC, Mr Jerry Victor, stated that the whereabouts of the victim was still unknown.
According to him, the command had already deployed its personnel to the area in order to rescue the victim unhurt, adding that the kidnappers are yet to reach out to the command and the family of the victim.
