3 killed, others injured in ghastly accident

Three persons have died and three others were injured in an accident that occurred on Monday morning, November 7, along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The accident, involving four males and two females, occurred in the morning.

NigeriaCrime.com gathered that two men and a woman died in the accident involving a Toyota Sienna bus with registration number DKP60LG.

Confirming the incident, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said two men and one woman died, while the remaining passengers sustained injuries.

FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, said the accident involved a Toyota Sienna bus marked, DKP60LG.

The Sienna bus was said to have engaged in speeding and this led to the loss of control. It was eventually “brushed” by a tanker, Okpe said.

The FRSC said the injured victims have been taken to Idera Hospital, Sagamu, while the deceased were deposited at the hospital’s morgue.

Meanwhile, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun, Ahmed Umar, has commiserated with the crash victims.

In a similar development, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Jameelat Yusuf, has died in a motor accident in Nasarawa State.

The Taraba University graduate, who was serving in Abuja, died in the accident which occurred along Akwanga – Keffi road on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

She was buried according rites in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa on Monday, November 7, 2022.

Before the accident, the Taraba State indigene had posted her photos on Facebook with caption “Friday.”

while commensurating with family and friends on the incident Hon. Innocent Umar Jabayang who witnessed the funeral rites of late Jameelat Yusuf said the entire team of Jabayang were led into chaos following the demise announcement of one of its strongest member Sister Jamilat Yusuf who was an NYSC member serving in Abuja.

Hon. Innocent Jabayang joined all the bereaved in akwanga Local government of nassarawa state to participate in her funeral arrangements that was done according to Islamic rite.
