Ammunition Supplier, Armed Robbers Arrested In Delta

A 37-year-old man, Chinedu Enenmo and his 34-year-old accomplice, Donatus Ndukan, have been arrested by operatives of the Delta State Police Command for allegedly supplying cartridges to suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and cultists.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, Enenmo and Ndukan are from Akere Ogidi and Urom Communities in Ogbaru and Awka Local Government Areas of Anambra State respectively.

Edafe noted that two hundred and fifty (250) rounds of live cartridges were recovered from the first suspect.

Furthermore, the police said the other suspect was arrested due to the confession of Enenmo.

The police spokesman said, “During the course of investigations, the suspect gave useful information about his accomplice and led the operatives to the Fegge area of Onitsha in Anambra State where one Donatus Ndukan ‘m’ 34yrs of Urom community in Awka-North LGA of Anambra State whom he described as his boss in the business was also arrested.”

According to DSP Edafe, “Both suspects are in custody and investigation is ongoing”.

Similarly, the Anti-Crime Patrol team of the “A” Division on a visibility and confidence building patrol in Warri and its environs have arrested two suspected armed robbers.

The suspects, Eddy Aboyowa (m) age 37 years and Akpani Isaiah, (m) age 35 years, both reside on Efejuku Street off Deco Road, Warri.

The Police also recovered from the two suspects thirty (30) rounds of 7.62 AK47 live ammunition during a search.

The development was made known in a statement signed by DSP Edafe.

The Police image maker said, “During the patrol, the team intercepted a tricycle along Eagle roundabout by Ogunu bridge, conveying three occupants and subjected them to a search.”

He explained that it was during the search that the items were recovered from two of the passengers.

DSP Edafe noted that the suspects are in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
