Assault: Portable Will Face Six-Count Charge – NPF

Following his unruly conduct and incitement against its officers, controversial singer,  , Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, will be facing six-count charge, the Nigeria Police Force confirmed on Saturday.

This confirmation was made known by the Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, on his official Twitter handle while responding to a tweet.

While responding to a tweep who alleged that the Force has failed to arrest a Lagos State park boss, Musiliu Akinsannya, a.k.a MC Oluomo, despite allegations that he threatened voters that were not planning to vote for All Progressives Candidates in Lagos in a viral video, Adejobi wrote, “I’m sure you are very awake as I have addressed MCs case, but Portable has more than six count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman. Portable will be charged in court for beating a guy in Otta, who filed a petition to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police.

“There are many cases of assaults and attacks on people. And he will be investigated because people have complained about him. There’s no sentiment in law. Let him appear before the court and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity, anyway. Ire o.”

Recall that the singer had, on Tuesday, resisted arrest by some police but was later arrested on Friday.

Portable was seen in a viral video challenging the legality of his arrest and thereby reportedly assaulted the policemen who came to effect his arrest at his bar situated in Ogun State.

The singer has been in pockets of troubles as he was disqualified from participating from the Headies following his threat to kill other nominees if he failed to win the category.
