A trader identified as Aribidesi has been murdered by kidnappers who succeeded in abducting his two children in Ilorin.
Aribidesi was macheted to death by kidnappers who invaded his residence at Oja Tuntun market, in Alubarika area, Gaa –Osibi, Alagbado area of Ilorin.
NigeriaCrime.com learned that the kidnappers cart away the deceased’s mobile phone and are demanding 10 million naira as ransom to free the kidnapped children.
According to residents in Gaa-osibi community, The kidnappers have since contacted his family to demand 10 million naira as ransom to free the children.
‘Nobody knew how they were able to gain access to the building, nobody knew if they had scaled the fence or not.
“But we learned that they killed him and took his two children away. He died from cutlass wounds.
“People have continued to visit his residence to condole his wife. It is an unfortunate incident.
When contacted, the Spokesman for the Nigeria Police Force in Kwara state, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, a Superintendent of Police, said no one had reported the incident to the police.
He however assured that no, efforts would be spared to find out what had happened in other to bring the perpetrators to book.
He also urged residents and citizens of the state to ensure that they promptly report any threat to the security of lives and property to the police to help in nipping in the bud any criminal act.
